Simon Baker founded Group Ginger Architects to provide a distinct design studio focused on place and identity. With over 25 years of experience, Simon has led numerous high-profile projects, specialising in cultural heritage. His strategic approach, addresses complexity and community, raising design aspirations to unlock value. Simon has contributed as a Design Council CABE Building Environment Expert, a Design Review Panellist, and the RIBA Yorkshire regional chair. Simon is a Masters-level lecturer at Sheffield University and regularly publishes his work.

Milena joined Group Ginger after completing her Part 1 at Sheffield School of Architecture. During her studies in Sheffield, Milena was interested in the topics of community building and placemaking, which she addressed in her final project of a cultural centre / greenhouse. In her work, she explores different methods of visual representation combining traditional and digital media to create atmospheric images.

Rebecca joined Group Ginger as a Part 2 architectural assistant after graduating from her Master’s studies at the Manchester School of Architecture. Having previously worked at a practice specialising in heritage and conservation, Rebecca brings with her valuable experience working with listed buildings and in sensitive historic contexts. She has a strong interest in adaptive reuse and architecture that responds thoughtfully to place, celebrating the character and cultural value of existing buildings.
